August 9-11, 2006 OAGITM Summer ConferenceThis year's summer conference is being held at the Hilton Portland & Executive Towers , in downtown Portland , Oregon . The reservation phone number is (503) 226-1611. The formal conference will begin on Wednesday, August 9th and conclude Friday, August 11th at noon . We will have a Kick-off Reception on Tuesday evening, August 8th for conference attendees and their guests. It will be hosted by our new president, Ken Sigesmund. We're looking forward to seeing how Ken's hosting skills compare to the venerable Mr. Margaronis' from previous years! Also included as part of this years conference is a wonderful evening dinner cruise aboard the Portland Spirit, down the Willamette River . This dinner cruise is set for Thursday evening the 10 th , with boarding time at 6:30pm , setting sail at 7:00pm , and returning at 9:30pm . Be aware that all adults over the age of 18 MUST present photo ID to board, wrapped packages are not allowed on board, and all carry-on baggage is subject to search. Conference registration includes your fee for the dinner and trip, but additional guests will need to be paid for separately. Registration for the conference is $250 per person attending. This includes the cost of the conference and all meals/breaks during the conference . The only additional costs are for the hotel, travel to/from the conference and any personal expenses. We are anticipating a large attendance so please process your forms and book your hotel early. I am also including a copy of the conference agenda. At the bottom of this letter is the conference registration sheet. Please complete it and return it to Jean Straight, along with a check for $250.00. Conference registration must be received no later than June 20, 2006. We must make advanced reservations for meal counts, cruise seats, etc, and as such must confirm these numbers with these entities by this date. Registrations after this date may not be able to be accommodated for meals or cruise seats. Hilton has agreed to hold a block of rooms for our group (OAGITM), until July 9 th , 2006 . After that time, unsecured rooms will be no longer be guaranteed available for our group, and will be returned to the free pool for regular Hilton customers. As such, any room reservations attempted to be made after this date may not be able to be accommodated by Hilton, and in addition are not guaranteed to be available at the discounted rate. In light of this, please make your reservations as soon as possible.
